In May 2006, finished his 28th year as coach of the Arizona program … has compiled a record of 333-174-12 … coached numerous All Americans and over 1,300 student athletes … served in the U.S.A. All American Program as a general manager and assistant coach from 1900 through 2000 … played fullback at Arizona for four years before club rugby with Old Pueblo Lions and Tucson Magpies—a club he helped form … also played for the Arizona Rugby Union Select Team, scoring their first-ever points … assumed coaching responsibilities at UA during senior year at age 22 … has attained Level III USA coach credentials and has attended numerous coaching seminars overseas … has coached, played, or broadcast rugby football in ten countries … television play-by-play voice of U.S. National rugby team on FOX Sports Net and SKY television … University of Arizona sports play-by-play voice, including powerhouse basketball program, PAC-10 football team, a variety of Olympic sports, and baseball on FOX Sports Net and SKY TV… Vice President of Clear Channel Outdoor … partner in energy drink company … member of many civic organizations, including life membership in Tucson Conquistadores and Centurions of Carondelet St. Mary’s … also on the board of Davis Monthan Air Force Base “50”, Steele Memorial Children’s Research Foundation, Southern Arizona Leadership Council, Diocese of Tucson Catholic Foundation, and Chairman of the Tucson Pops Orchestra … named first recipient of Lute Olson “Scouts Honor” Award by Boy Scouts of America … in January 2005, Sitton was diagnosed with anaplastic large cell lymphoma. He was treated successfully at the Arizona Cancer Center in Tucson. In 2006 honors were showered on Sitton. He was named the Tucson Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year; American Ad Federation Silver Award for Lifetime Achievement; Father’s Day Council Father of the Year; Willie Kane Humanitarian Award winner. With wife Spencer, has two daughters, Olivia and Elizabeth.

The 22nd ranked University of Arizona rugby team (8-5, 3-4) concludes SoCal Premier Division play at home this Saturday evening when it takes on 3rd ranked San Diego State (8 –0, 7 – 0 ). The match will be played in the U of A’s Murphey Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
